Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
A shocking incident of alleged molestation on a moving bus in the Raipur area of Bankura has triggered widespread outrage. The victim, an eighth-grade student, was reportedly harassed by a man who allegedly touched her inappropriately. The situation escalated dramatically when the girl's mother arrived at the scene and publicly thrashed the accused with her shoe.
According to sources, the minor girl was travelling to her tuition class by bus this morning. The accused, identified as an employee of the electricity department who was also on the bus, allegedly took advantage of the crowded conditions to touch the girl's chest from inside her shirt. The young girl immediately screamed, alerting fellow passengers to the incident. Enraged by the revelation, the passengers reportedly forced the accused to deboard the bus in the Raipur area.
Upon receiving news of the incident, the victim's mother rushed to the location. Witness accounts and a viral video circulating on social media depict the distraught mother confronting the accused and subsequently hitting him with her shoe in a fit of anger. The public display of outrage was reportedly recorded by several onlookers, and the video quickly spread across various social media platforms.
Local police arrived at the scene after being informed about the commotion. They intervened, rescued the accused from the agitated crowd, and took him to the police station. Interestingly, as per the latest reports, no formal written complaint has been filed with the police regarding the incident. There has also been no statement released by the accused in connection with the allegations.
